Egg Shells; Original Oil Painting by F. Poole

"Egg Shells"  18'x24"  Oil on Paper.
If this looks familiar, I've done quite a few of egg shell paintings.  I think they are a lot of fun to do and great practice at getting values right.

You have lovely work! Your value changes are so subtle for such a small format. I found you through the daily painter's forum where you had a wonderful post today. Thanks for being a kind voice of reason.

Thank you Polly and Jennifer. I'm glad you like the egg shells. I really enjoyed the challenge of painting them. I painted a whole series of them because it was so much fun. I also included egg shells in my traditional still life at times. For a long time I had a bowl full of egg shells I chose from when I was in the mood to paint them.

Thank You L. Saeta
Glad you like my egg shells, I usually have a few in my studio, so they are handy when I want to paint something fun and challenging.
